Quality Dress, but runs oh-so-small

Ok so, the quality and details of this dress were spot on. Huge fan of the actual cut/style, but my-oh-my. I am usually about a 6, and I could hardly even slide this on. I ordered a large anticipating that it would run a smidge small, but, if I had not been the one to personally buy it, I would have guessed this dress to be a size XS/S. Sadly, I will be returning, but I think this can definitely work for a more petite/less curvy individual.
